things i'm going to listen to today, and if you haven't, you should:
my experimental phase, which has a clip about curly oxide, a hasidic jew who became a punk rocker with vic thrill. if i remember correctly, sasha baron cohen is going to depict him in a movie coming out relatively soon. unlike matisyahu (who religious leaders had told to go out and make music - from what i remember, the only hasid directed to do so), curly oxide was very much going against his religion in partaking in the band and lifestyle and almost *never* gives interviews and stuff, so it's fascinating to listen to. also unlike matisyahu, he kinda gave up hasidisim, sorta, but is now uber practicing. matisyahu gave up hasidism recently, methinks.
first day - one of my favorite, favorite, favorite of all time. especially the squirrel story. i dare you to listen to it and not laugh.

somewhere, there's a beautiful story of a couple that was taking dancing lessons and got onto stage at a new years eve phish show at madison square gardens. it's possible it's in 20 acts in 60 minutes, but if not, i will find it for sure.
