DAY FOUR

today i have read almost nothing fascinating enough to share, which is too bad considering i've been reading for significant portions of the day. i did read about the vietnam memorial and cried a little bit because it's so sad and omgwhatabeautifulmonument. also, screw ross perot, who called the girl who designed it an egg roll.

the woman who designed it is now considered only an architecture intern since she failed to complete all the required steps to be an architect, "doing" rather than filling (somewhat arbitrary) requirements.

i think that is somewhat valid but also somewhat silly. silly insane liberal hippies. let's destroy all notions of pretense and licensing and let everyone design!!

also had a good laugh at this bit:
Graduates of law schools are considered lawyers even before passing the bar.

that's actually a required part of law school: all lawyers learn that when studying for the MPRE. "Lesson One: once you finish school, it's TOTALLY ethical and, indeed, manditory to hold yourself out as a lawyer or one who can practice law." TOTALLY.

so instead let's ignore the stupid hippie who is probably just friends with al gore's son and that's how his poorly researched article got published and read xkcd!

and in final jailhouse news, we had a new arrival today: elizabeth deluca is now likewise trapped here at least 4, and maybe 5 days a week. welcome to the trenches!
