DAY ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY FOUR POST TWO

wow, that was a crazy wind storm! i keep wishing that i actually had twitter, because would have been able to post some of the first reported news on certain things involving Taksim square riots, Libyan protests outside the consulate, the fire at the parking garage, and today, some of the craziest wind i have seen in a long time. sad i didn't take pictures, but i was too focused on not getting killed. the wind sheared off a part of a building on my walk home and was so severe that they closed down two streets adjoining my house including Akarsu, where it looked like they were afraid a building under construction would collapse and Anahtar, where something major was going on, though I couldn't tell what. I almost got hit by a car dashing across Siraselviler to avoid a flying sign. a two hour lunch break involving me hiding from windows later, the hurricane-like forces have calmed! and, as a bonus, i finally set up the iPad!
